If you’re thinking about visiting Mallorca this summer and staying with us at Ca’n Bonico, we’d like to give you a glimpse of what a perfect day might look like. No strict schedules, no rushing from place to place. Just a day shaped by good food, beautiful surroundings and the slower rhythm that makes this corner of the island so special.
The perfect day in Mallorca’s southeast
The day begins in one of our rooms, after a peaceful night’s sleep surrounded by thick stone walls, natural materials and the calm atmosphere that defines Ca’n Bonico.
As the morning sun starts to fill the courtyard, breakfast is served. Fresh fruit, local products, pastries, eggs prepared to order and some of our favourite international breakfast classics create the perfect start to the day. There’s no need to rush. Summer mornings in Mallorca are made to be enjoyed slowly.
A slow morning in the south of Mallorca
Once breakfast is over, it’s time to explore.

One of our favourite ways to spend the morning is by visiting one of the local markets. Depending on the day, Santanyí, Campos or Ses Salines offer a wonderful glimpse into everyday life on the island, with stalls selling fresh produce, ceramics, linen clothing and local crafts.
If you’d prefer something more active, consider renting a bike and exploring the quiet roads that surround Ses Salines. The route to Colònia de Sant Jordi is flat and easy, while nearby villages such as Santanyí and Es Llombards are perfect for a relaxed ride through the countryside.
The beauty of this part of Mallorca lies in its simplicity: small villages, open landscapes and the feeling that there’s always something waiting around the next corner.
Lunch time
By midday, you’ve probably worked up an appetite.
Fortunately, the south of Mallorca is home to some excellent restaurants. Whether you’re looking for fresh seafood by the sea, traditional Majorcan cuisine or something more contemporary, you’ll find plenty of options nearby.

In fact, we’ve recently shared some of our favourite recommendations in our blog post about the best restaurants in southern Mallorca. Places like Cassai in Colònia de Sant Jordi or other local favourites are perfect for a long lunch that slowly turns into an afternoon coffee.
After all, summer lunches in Mallorca are rarely rushed.
Afternoon delight
After a morning of exploring and a leisurely lunch, the afternoon calls for something much simpler: doing very little.
Back at Ca’n Bonico, our gardens and pool area provide the perfect setting to slow down and recharge. Find a sun lounger, open a book you’ve been meaning to read for months and let the afternoon drift by.

If you prefer, you can also take this time to visit one of the nearby coves and spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the island.
If you feel like it, our pool bar is always close at hand, serving refreshing drinks, light snacks and everything you need for a relaxed afternoon under the Mediterranean sun.
Sometimes, the best part of a holiday is allowing yourself to do absolutely nothing.
Dinner time in Ses Salines
As the day begins to cool, it’s time to head out for dinner.
Ses Salines and the surrounding villages offer plenty of excellent options for an evening meal. From traditional Majorcan restaurants to more contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, there is something for every mood and occasion. Here’s our list of great restaurants in the area for you to choose from.
After dinner, a gentle walk through the village streets is the perfect way to end the day before returning to the hotel.
And that’s the beauty of a summer day in southeast Mallorca: no complicated plans, no rushing, just good food, beautiful landscapes and the pleasure of taking things slowly.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ca’n Bonico and helping you create your own perfect day on the island.
