The south of Mallorca has something special. Life moves at a slower pace, villages keep their character and sitting down to eat is still a moment to share without rushing. Tapas are part of this way of life: small plates, good conversation, long after-lunch chats and that feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be.
If you’re planning to stay at Ca’n Bonico or nearby this spring, here are some of our favourite spots to enjoy great tapas, quality produce and places full of character.
Best tapas restaurants in the south of Mallorca
La Vermutería – Colònia de Sant Jordi
A perfect place to start the afternoon. Cold vermouth, well-poured beers and a menu designed to share: conservas, gildas, cheeses and classic tapas with a modern twist. It’s usually lively, with tables outside and that relaxed atmosphere everyone looks for at sunset.

Blai – Santanyí
Right in the centre of Santanyí, Blai is one of those places you always come back to. Simple cooking, fresh ingredients and a menu made for sharing. Ideal after a walk around the village or a visit to the market, when you just want to sit down and enjoy good food without fuss.
Bon Bar – Cala Figuera
A small restaurant full of charm. Bon Bar is perfect for fresh fish, but also for tapas by the harbour in Cala Figuera. Fried fish, traditional dishes and a terrace where it’s easy to stay longer than planned while watching the boats come and go.

Estarellas – Ses Salines
Very close to Ca’n Bonico, this classic local bar is always a safe choice. Generous tapas, mixed plates, sandwiches and simple Majorcan cooking. A place frequented by both locals and visitors, ideal for an easy, informal dinner.

Club Náutico Sa Ràpita – Sa Ràpita
Tapas by the sea always feel better. At the Sa Ràpita Yacht Club you’ll find fresh fish, sharing plates and views over the harbour. A great option for a long aperitif or an early dinner while the sun goes down.
Bar Esperanza – Ses Covetes
A simple, straightforward classic. Here, the focus is on good produce and honest food. Perfect to stop by after a day at Es Trenc beach and finish the day with a few tapas.
The south of Mallorca is meant to be enjoyed slowly. Between villages, coves and quiet roads, there’s always a table worth sitting at. And at the end of the day, Ca’n Bonico is waiting for you: a place to rest, switch off and keep enjoying the island at your own pace.
