Mallorca is full of wonderful coves and sandy shores, many ideal for children. We’ve selected five of our favourites, where calm and fun go hand in hand:
Platja de S’Estanys – paradise close to Hotel Ca’n Bonico
Right after Es Trenc, this beach is a peaceful oasis for families: easy access and parking, crystal-clear shallow water and no waves. There’s also a beach bar, 5 Illes Beach & Sunset, perfect for snacks and drinks without leaving the sand.
Cala Mondragó – a cove inside a Natural Park
Located in the Mondragó Natural Park, this cove is a protected spot with calm waters and natural paths leading to the beach. Perfect for kids: soft white sand, shallow water and parking close by.
Sa Ràpita – harbour and beach in southern Mallorca
A wide stretch of white sand and turquoise sea, calmer than Es Trenc and very popular with families. It offers services such as sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, bathrooms and lifeguards. Next to the harbour, you’ll find restaurants and cafés for a full day by the sea.
Cala Llombards – pure Mediterranean charm
A gem in the southeast of Mallorca: this small sandy cove is framed by cliffs, with calm waters and a relaxed atmosphere. Parking is available nearby, making it perfect for an afternoon with children of all ages.
Playa de Muro – a family paradise in northern Mallorca
One of the island’s longest beaches, Playa de Muro is famous for its turquoise waters, excellent facilities and endless space – ideal for a carefree family beach day.
